MOSCOW, Nov 21 (PRIME) -- Russia retains its 2023 energy outlook, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said during a meeting at the Federation Council, parliament’s upper chamber, on Tuesday.
“We expect oil production of around 527 million tonnes, as compared with 535 (million tonnes) last year. Coal production will amount to some 440 million tonnes, flat on the year. Gas output will be lower by about 30 billion cubic meters,” he said.
“We have a stable situation on the power generation market as well. Power production will amount to 1.150 billion kilowatt-hour (kWh), a rise of 0.8% on the year,” he added.
Novak also said that the government is considering additional measures to stimulate production of hard-to-recover oil.
